2009. júl. 30. / Blondie
Traveling back to Budapest on the train. Near me, a really,
very blonde girl is sitting. You know, pink shorts, trendy T-shirt, dyed hair. And, of course, sunglasses.
Then she looks at me and says: 'Are you Hungarian?'
'Oh, yes' I reply.
'Do you speak English?'
'Well, I'm quite well at it.' I say.
'Could you translate me something? It's very important' she says. She shows a word on her phone. 'What does this mean? That... dót. (thought)' she asks.
'Gondolni' I answer.
'Oh... could you translate the whole thing?' she asks, and I read the message, then translate it to her into Hungarian.
'Thank you!' she says.
It was something like "i've found somebody else, sorry". Then, after five minutes, she knocks on my knees and asks something again:
'How do you say 'rosszul esett'?'
'Well, hurt... it's hurted.'
'Could you write it down?'
'Yes' and I do.
After getting off the train, I realized that it's not '
hurted'. The past form is the same.
Hurt.Oh, gosh!... No matter. I believe that guy is going to understand it this way too.
Today: Balatonőszöd. It was just FINE. The water of the lake was perfect, the dinner was great, the company wasalso good. Everything's just wonderful, as Lily Allen says in her song "Everything's Just Wonderful".
Tomorrow: english lesson with my teacher, Marci. He is going to go to Lissabon for six months, as I've written it down in the blog once. (Is it past perfect? I think so. Always had problems with this; but now the fact that matters is I have
written something, so it's perfect. Right, Katie? Or Berta. Or laughingcurls. I don't really know what's your name. :))
This is why I'm blogging in English. For practice. Just looked at my dictionary, and thought 'I should know all these words?!' I really should learn them. I have to be clever. :D
Also because my boring kind of sentences doesn't sound so ridicolous in English. I think so, at least.
I've got a fantastic idea! I'm going to write a tale. A tale about shadows. And swimming in the Balaton makes my head make more ideas. So going to Fonyód for three days will be effective.
I'm in love with sunsets at the Balaton.
I think this is enough for today. I hope I've got only a few mistakes.
